JavaScript Software Engineer (Financial Services)
Lloyds Banking Group, Commercial Banking Online
London OR Edinburgh based with hybrid working pattern, 1-2 days per week in office & rest from home.
Salary & Benefits: £52,912 to £80,294 (depending on location and experience) base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Where do the roles sit and what does the function support?
Our role sits within the Commercial Banking Online platform and we are at the forefront of leading the way for customers & colleagues in transforming & digitising our online offering. We are embarking on a journey to modernise our legacy systems to take advantage of the many benefits offered by modern technology and development practices, whilst also improving customer security.
The transformation culture our team lives by is to empower its co-located teams to create dynamic environments using agile methodology, including scrum, DevOps, continuous improvement and ultimately providing outstanding customer experience.
We are investing heavily in the platform and this role is part of a major expansion across our teams.
What would you do in the role?
You’ll operate as a Front End Javascript Engineer within one of our feature teams operating at mid to senior level.
You'll work in a highly collaborative way to drive efforts to design, build, support and improve our frontend client software, working closely with the product and engineering teams across a number of exciting new initiatives. You'll be a core contributor to ensure the highest quality output whilst adopting engineering practices in accordance with engineering transformation strategy.
We’re increasingly using Open Source software, cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices and you’ll contribute towards our adoption.
We operate in a truly modern & agile engineering function which keeps continually developing. We use modern DevSecOps, continuous integration and automation is at the heart of what we do.
What do we need to see evidence of in your CV?
We like to see people applying from diverse industry & cultural backgrounds. For this particular software engineering role we’ll need to see evidence of the following in your CV;
  • Experience working at a mid to senior level as a software engineer within a modern Agile engineering function.
  • Very strong JavaScript coding skills
  • ReactJS framework knowledge
  • Spingboot Microservices experience
  • Experience working within an Agile Engineering function so you are familiar with CI/CD/DevOps tooling
